Carlos Izcaray

Now in his 11th season as Music Director of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Izcaray has led major ensembles across five continents and made his Lincoln Center debut with New York City Ballet in December 2024. His compositions premiered at the Philharmonie de Paris, Royal Chapel at Versailles, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. His First Symphony premieres in May 2026, commemorating America's 250th Anniversary.
Former Music Director of the American Youth Symphony (2016–2024), he bridged concert halls and Hollywood studios, working with elite film musicians and emerging composers. Featured in the Los Angeles Times as a champion of women composers, he founded Alabama's Momentum and Sound Edge Festival and lectures at Cambridge University and Deutsche Welle on arts, technology, and cultural leadership.
A passionate advocate for Tech & AI as cognitive augmentation, Izcaray reads markets and culture through a leading musician's lens—recognizing patterns invisible to conventional analysis. As a speaker, Carlos has addressed audiences across multiple countries, including keynote presentations for corporations, Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, chambers of commerce, nonprofits, and academic institutions including Cambridge University (UK), UAB, and honor societies across the United States.
